SERVICES
Complementary Phone Consultation (about 20 minutes)
If you are interested in working together, we will first speak by phone so I can get a sense of the problems you are facing and what is leading you to seek therapy at this time. I encourage you to ask any questions you have about, and together, we can decide if I might be a good fit for you.
Initial Evaluation
The initial evaluation is a 60 minute session during which I will ask more about your current concerns, mental health history, and life experiences. Prior to our appointment, I will ask you to complete some intake forms and questionnaires about your symptoms and history, and review my informed consent and confidentiality policies. At the end of the initial evaluation, we will discuss what treatment together might look like, and decide if we would like to work together.
Individual Psychotherapy
Therapy sessions are about 55 minutes in length. I typically meet with clients once a week, although sometimes it makes sense to meet more or less frequently (such as twice a week or every two weeks). Treatment length varies, and depends on multiple factors including your wants and needs, and my clinical judgement. Though I tend towards providing longer-term therapy, I am also able to offer short-term treatment.
Clinical Supervision
I provide clinical supervision or consultation to psychologists or psychotherapists who are licensed or working towards licensure. Please email me if you are interested in talking further about this.
INSURANCE AND PAYMENT
I am a provider with Aetna, Highmark and most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, Capital Blue Cross, Medical Assistance (CCBH), and UPMC. If you have one of these insurances, some or all of my fees will be covered. You may be responsible for deductibles or copays according to your plan.
If you have another health insurance plan which is PPO, your insurance may reimburse a percentage of my fee once you have met your deductible. Contact your insurance company to learn more. Payment is due at the time of our session. See this article for more detailed information: https://www.zencare.co/therapy-terms/out-of-network
